Open in editorThis basic RV electrical system is the starting point for any motorhome or travel trailer. A 200Ah lithium house battery powers your RV through a master disconnect switch and DC fuse panel. The fuse panel distributes power to four circuits — LED lights, water pump, refrigerator, and USB outlets — each protected by individual fuses.
The master disconnect switch is a critical safety feature that lets you cut all power when storing the RV or working on the electrical system. The DC fuse panel provides organized circuit protection and makes it easy to add or troubleshoot individual circuits. This setup works great with campground shore power charging and can be upgraded with solar later.
