Open in editorThis intermediate setup represents a complete camper van electrical system. A 200W roof-mounted solar panel feeds through an MPPT charge controller to a 200Ah lithium house battery. A DC fuse box distributes power to multiple circuits — LED lights, a water pump, and a 1500W inverter for AC appliances like a laptop charger or blender.
The DC fuse box is the central distribution point, protecting each circuit with individual fuses. The 150A fuse before the inverter protects the main battery cable from the high current draw of AC conversion. This setup provides enough power for comfortable van life with lighting, water, and occasional AC use.
